Come to the Times Square Visitor Center to hear Kyungwoo Chun discuss his work VERSUS with curator Inhee Iris Moon.
In VERSUS, 50 participants are asked to sit down in place on double bench shaped like crescent moon that is specially designed for the performance. Each participant is to find a person whom they have never met before, and then the pair takes a seat face to face and with heads leaned on the right shoulder of the partner. All participants are asked to close eyes and refrain from talking during their sitting. The point is to relax and spend about 15 minutes in that position of leaning on and or against each other. Versus in essence is a performance about relationships and their pre-requisites. Kyungwoo Chun is a Korean artist based in Germany. Versus is is curated by Inhee Iris Moon.
